Friday Favorites

It’s Friday, and you probably know what that means. Time for another round up of some of my favorite things!

The summer is flying by and I’m looking forward to soaking up another warm weekend with a trip to the lake with the family. I hope you have something fun planned, and preferably outdoors, to enjoy these last days of summer!

FAVORITE SHOW – TINY HOUSE NATION

Jim and I have been loving the TV show Tiny House Nation. While we can’t imagine living in a tiny house with children, it seems like a dream to downsize to a tiny house in the mountains once the kids are grown and out of the house. Could you live in a tiny house?

FAVORITE WORKOUT – EARLY MORNING WALKS

I’ve been getting up every morning this week to walk my dog before the sun comes out. Our Beagle loves going for walks but the 100+ degree weather this month has been keeping us from our regular walk routine. So I’ve switched to early morning walks and we are both loving them!

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGY – KINDLE WHISPERSYNC

As I mentioned above, I’m enjoying early morning walks with my dog. I am loving the Kindle Whispersync function that pairs up Kindle books with their Audible book companion. I go to bed reading my book on the Kindle and then I wake up and continue right where I left off listening to my book while I walk the dog.

FAVORITE QUIET MOMENT – JESUS CALLING

After I am done walking the dog, I spend a few quiet moments with my daily devotional before waking up the kids and the craziness starts of trying to get the household ready to leave for work and school. I cherish these quiet moments before the hustle of the day begins.
